There are multiple reasons that could play into why you can't sign in to your email account.
- Two Factor Authentication wasn't enabled within the 24 hour window Google allows.
- When this happens, you'll see the error notice "Your sign-in settings don't meet your organizations 2-Step Verification policy." In order to bypass this lock screen, you need to reach out to the Support Desk. We'll be able to generate an 8 digit code that Google will ask for the next time you go to sign in. Once you sign in, make sure to turn on 2FA or Google will lock the account again.
- You had 2 Factor Authentication on and enabled but no longer have access to the device used for it.
- The Support Desk can temporarily disable Two Factor Authentication to let you sign back in to your account and turn on 2FA for another device.
- Your password is incorrect.
- If you have forgotten or lost your password, the Support Desk can reset the password for you. Once you sign in, you'll be prompted to change the password.
