System Recommendations
It is recommended a mouse be used for the initial mapping of the CoA, as opposed to the use of a trackpad or an iPad
The FranConnect (FC) application (app) for phones or tablets does not support royalty reporting, use the website
Your browser may have a pop-up blocker default setting. If no QuickBooks Online (QBO) pop-up appears during the sky third-party integration, please adjust browser settings to allow for the (QBO) site. Use a search engine, like Google, to research directions on how to “adjust browser settings to allow pop-ups”
It is recommended you use the Google Chrome browser; however, Safari, Mozilla, and Edge should work
QBO is needed to automatically sync. If using QuickBooks as a credit card processor only or you have the Desktop version, the integration will not work
If you do not use QBO, submit manually by attaching a sales report from your CRM (Vonigo, Service Titan, etc)
FranConnect

Usernames are either email addresses or firstname.lastname, and are not case sensitive. Passwords are case sensitive
After signing in with the password you were provided, FC may ask you to reset your password and enter an OTP. This “one-time password” is not listed in any PSB email, but will be emailed separately, directly from FC. Check spam.
Mapping Chart of Accounts (CoA) in FranConnect
You should only have to map once, FC will save settings and sync the same income subcategories every time
If you get a message to re-authenticate the token or that your CoA has changed, please follow these steps in FC:
Click settings (the gear/wheel in the upper right-hand corner)
Click the link to the right to Configure your QuickBooks CoA
Scroll all the way to the bottom of this very long page, click "modify" on the right side
Ensure all subcategories in blue font under “Income”, which is in black font, are grayed out.
If all subcategories are not grayed out, move each subcategory up to the right side of the screen by clicking on the 6 dots and dragging, then dropping that subcategory where it says “Please Drop Here”
When done dragging and dropping, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, click "save" on the right side
After the page refreshes, click the “Import Sales from QuickBooks” big green button on that page
Go to Finance, the moneybag on the green bar on the left side of your screen, click sales
Select a time period in the drop-down menu and click "continue"
This should map the CoA again or trigger the system to read the CoA
The integration (sync)
The integration is only a one-way sync, FC pulls from QBO. QBO does not pull information from FC. QBO cannot see what numbers are already entered in the income fields, so it will double or triple the entered numbers if you continue to click “save” multiple times. Reset to zero with these steps:
Click settings (the gear/wheel in the upper right-hand corner of FC)
Click the link toward the right side to Configure your CoA
Click the toggle to disable, and click the toggle back to enable
Per Franchise Agreements, we do not charge royalties on cash collections. Therefore, FC is set up to only sync invoices and cannot decipher lump sum cash deposits to convey as income
Future Sales may not be entered. You cannot report on a week until it closes on Saturday. Reporting on a month cannot occur until the last day of that month is over
Awaiting Acknowledgement: Your royalty report has been received by accounting but is awaiting your action because you submitted the report without attesting to its verity. It will not be reviewed before you attest. Follow these steps:
Go to Finance, the moneybag on the green bar on the left side of your screen, click sales
Click the 3 dots to the right side of the yellow bar, and click “acknowledge”
The report should now be green with a status of waiting for approval
